Went for a breakfast date with the hubby on a weekday and was pretty surprised about how busy this place is! We did get seated right away though. I like the Art Deco type vibe and we were able to find a spot street parking nearby. Water is self serve and I believe the coffee is as well, but that gets added to the bill. I ordered a hot chocolate and was not disappointed. I'm honestly not big on breakfast like the hubby is, but there is a good assortment of choices. I strayed from my usual eggs benny and gave their corned beef hash a go, and hubby wanted gravlax, so ended up with a gravlax omelette. Definitely a different kind of breakfast than what I usually get, but the portion was good for me, in fact I couldn't finish, so I let my hubby eat the rest. I also like how they have a bakery type display at the front and how there was some gummy candy you can help yourself to with tongs while you pay at the cashier.

The coffees/lattes are really great, but the food leaves a bit to be desired.
The place was busy, but not full on a Sunday at noon. We ordered: traditional eggs Benny, Breakfast burrito, Huevos Rancheros and scrambled eggs and back bacon.
All 4 of us were just ok with the dishes. The back bacon was a grey slab. It wasn't good at all. My Hollandaise sauce didn't even register on a flavour scale.
Our service was wonderful.
I've been here before for beers. They have Rotating craft beers. Yum. -

A cosy cafe where you can not only get coffee and muffins, but full on delicious meals. Prior to a show, myself and a friend swing by Mill Street Cafe after hearing some glowing reports from others.
The servers were really nice, and very knowledgeable about all parts of their menu, up to and including making beer recommendations based on my picky friend's tastes. Kudos to you guys!
For food I went with (Disclaimer, I've forgotten the title of the dish so will now just describe!) Red Thai Curry Cod with rice and some delicious green beans and peppers. It was so tasty. Just the right amount of spice.
I'll definitely take another trip to the Cafe! -

I was very excited to dig in to the beautiful plate of eggs benedict florentine that was served to me!
Quickly disappointed at the bland flavour of the hollandaise and cool-to-the-touch hash browns. I think the chef prepared the plate and everything got cold while he prepared the eggs.
Eggs, however, were poached perfectly, hollandaise had perfect texture, but no zest, no seasoning.
A+ on presentation, service, atmosphere
C- on flavour & temperature -

I have never been here before and the food is a reasonable price. Their brunch is really good and have vegetarian options. The neat thing is your fill up your own water and coffee at the drink station. Staff was really nice and there were two unisex washrooms, very clean. It was pretty busy for a weekend brunch so was glad we came around 11am. Will definitely come again .
